Ken Alexander – Owner and Principal Vet
Ken is an extremely enthusiastic and experienced veterinary surgeon. He prides himself on providing animals with the best possible care, both during treatment and throughout their recovery.
Being able to tend to the needs of a wide range of animals each day is what Ken really enjoys about being a vet. The highlight for him is seeing somebodies beloved pet make a full recovery.
When Ken is not looking after other people’s animals he regularly enjoys taking his fresh faced Border Terrier Archie on long treks across the hills in West Perthshire. Ken has been known to claim that this is where he attended school as little as 15 years ago, you’re not fooling anybody Ken.
Debbie Troake – Veterinary Nurse & Receptionist
Since joining East Park Vets in 2002 Debbie has been a vital member of staff. Her commitment and willingness to turn her hand to anything makes her a very important cog in the East Park Vets machine.
The variety of the work and patients that she gets to meet and treat is what Debbie most enjoys about her job. The fact that she doesn’t know whether it will be a guinea pig or a pony coming through the door next keeps Debbie on her toes!
On the odd occasion that Debbie is not caring for your animals she enjoys taking Ronnie, her two year old black Labrador, on long relaxing walks.
Terry Gue – Receptionist & Veterinary Nurse
Having joined the team in 1997 Terry is one of East Park Vets’ most valuable resources. You will more than likely find Terry manning our reception desk and dealing with any enquiries that our clients may have.
As well as this Terry occasionally assists our Vets in theatre, ensuring that the patients are relaxed and comfortable during their operation and throughout their aftercare.
Terry is a keen horse-rider and even has her own thoroughbred named Twilight Dancer, who is better known as ‘Twiggy’ at the local stables.
Ruth Taylor – Receptionist & Veterinary Nurse
Ruth loves the world of veterinary work, and her favourite part about it is that every day offers up a different challenge. She really enjoys the variety of her work and having the opportunity to meet so many different types and breeds of animals.
Ruth is vastly experienced and we were extremely happy to welcome her to East Park Vets in 2004. She is now a stalwart of our close knit group.
Outside of work Ruth has two dogs, Oscar who is a 13 year old Jack Russell Terrier and Gussy, a fresh faced 18 month old Ariegeois Hound.
