Parasites such as fleas and worms are really irritating and can be dangerous too. If left to develop, fleas and worms can cause a number of medical problems including dermatitis and severe allergic reactions. Fleas in particular can infest your home and worms can be picked up by your family if they are not careful.  For this reason, it’s incredibly important to protect your pet, family and home from pesky and irritating parasites.

Luckily, it’s really easy to protect your pet against fleas and worms. Normally, it involves administering a product onto the back of your pet’s neck or giving them a small pill to swallow.

This type of treatment is classed as preventative and it is the easiest and most responsible approach to tackling pesky parasites.

As you can imagine, if worms and fleas have been left to develop, treating an infestation can be incredibly difficult. A large infestation of fleas or worms could also threaten your pet’s life which is why it is always better to protect your pet against parasites rather than treat them.

At East Park Vets, our experienced team know exactly how to tackle pesky parasites and rid your pet of them. If you become a member of one of our health packs, your pet’s worming and flea treatments will all be included too.
